Prior to joining CrossFit Central I was really feeling that I had lost a lot of physical condition. I was dragging in a lot of ways. I had little hope of changing my activity level or health. I started at CrossFit Central in the fall of 2021. Coming back after the Covid quarantine was one of the big steps that I did to get back with people. I really liked how comfortable and welcome I felt being at the gym even when I didn't feel like I was in shape. I didn't feel shamed or body conscience.

Fast forward to today, if I come in to workout feeling tired or depressed, by the end, I'm feeling better. One of my goals is to be able to try new activities out. I’ve taken up pickleball. My endurance for activity is way up. I've lost 10 lbs pounds and was amazed at how much muscle I've added.

I turned 60 this year, so I try to notice specifics, but it’s been ages since I've rolled an ankle, I was able to climb over a fence, and moving my body makes me joyful. The group in the Legends class that I attend are great. They keep me coming back. It’s a combination of friendship and community.
