I officially joined CrossFit Central two years ago. Coach Mike convinced me to try out some classes, then after participating in the I AM Challenge I signed up for a membership.

Before CrossFit Central I was trail running mostly, working out at a gym similar to Central, but I needed a change. I wanted something different but equally challenging. Around this time I was struggling with severe anxiety, depression, and was at a pretty low point in my life. Running and lifting helped, but I needed to change my environment.

Since joining CrossFit Central I reduced my body fat by 6%, increased muscle tone, and developed healthier eating habits. I learned how to count macros which was unbelievably eye opening. Before that point, I couldn’t figure out why losing body fat was so difficult even when I was working out five days a week.

Lost 6% Body Fat, Increased Muscle Tone

I’ve always been a bit awkward around new people, even people I know. Even when I wasn’t “feeling it” I made myself go to class and each time I got to know the coaches and members a bit more. I started seeing small changes in how I felt mentally. Forcing myself to be around like minded people helped me develop healthy new friendships, pulled me out of severe depression, and gave me a more realistic idea of what a strong, healthy woman looks like.

I keep coming back because of the friendly coaches and staff. I always feel welcome.
