I'm faster, stronger and almost two pant sizes smaller! Besides my husband really taking notice (he didn't think my legs could be any better than they already were), the best thing is that I don't have to work nearly as hard at the running as I used to. I would highly recommend Jeremy's CrossFit class....if you're lucky enough to get in...because CrossFit is the best kept secret in town!

Only the Beginning

"I walked into Zach's coed class at 191 pounds, size 34 waist and finished dead last my first day, unable to coordinate a kettlebell swing." Chris Coy joined CrossFit Central in December 2009 and is a recent finisher of the I Am CrossFit E.P.O.C. Challenge. Coach Crystal Nelson introduced Chris to the Paleo diet at the beginning of the challenge and he committed to stick to it for the 8 weeks of the competition and plans to continue this new lifestyle. "With the support of JDP and the crossfit coaches, I can proudly say that I lost 15lbs, 7% body fat and am a size 32 waist. I crushed my I am Crossfit benchmark time going from not finishing to 8:48 minutes." Keep it up, Chris!

We are hard at work calculating the winners of the I Am CrossFit E.P.O.C. Challenge! The winning team will be announced on Monday.

Are You Sold?

Melisa Aguilar-Rehmn, a recent I Am CrossFit E.P.O.C. finisher and client of CrossFit Central @ RunTex, recently wrote this blog post on why she is SOLD on eating as clean as possible. Melisa vowed to stick to the Paleo and Zone diet 8 weeks ago by ditching processed foods and filling her pantry with lean meats, fruits, veggies, eggs, nuts, seeds, and fish. She lost 6 lbs, 4.5% body fat, improved her workout times, and overall feels much better! Are you sold?
