Scott Royston

Scott is easy going and he’s often seen wearing a t-shirt that says “die first, then quit”.  I believe he takes that saying literally. Scott’s success is based on a relentless desire to improve and a tenacious spirit to do what he says he’s going to do. He’s always up for a new challenge, has grit and all the while keeping a calm, cool and collected attitude.

My biggest goal when starting to train at CrossFit Central was to get back in the shape I was in my 30’s — Mission Accomplished!

After my first session, I felt like I had taken the first big step in eating an elephant and I knew that while this would be a long process, it would be so worth it. I felt like I had so far to go, but working away little by little, I am proud to say that I have found success and continue to reach and surpass my PR’s on squats, deadlifts, benchpress, and even power cleans.

When I thought about getting stronger, I didn’t think about how much I would notice in my overall energy and how I felt as much as my appearance. Standing here today with the lowest body fat percentage since my 30’s (possibly lower), I not only feel stronger, but sleep better and feel overall healthier and happier!

I knew that I was going to come in and work hard everyday, but what I like most about training at CrossFit Central is the pervasive friendly and positive atmosphere that I would walk into each time I stepped into the gym. This is a great place that provides an atmosphere that makes it easy to come back to, so even on days where I am afraid that my to-do list won’t allow me to make it, I know that I will. not regret making time to come in, put the work in!
