James’ driving goal as a coach and fitness professional is to inspire people to dream and create physical and mental possibilities. He has spent 16 years in the fitness industry with experience in roles such as management, ownership, sales, employee training / development, event planning and live event announcing.
James has helped to create fitness and health programs for notable companies such as Mens and Women’s Health Magazine, Hugo Boss and Tough Mudder to name a few. After spending a large portion of his career in the corporate fitness world, James finally found his calling when he walked into CrossFit Garden City in 2011 and instantly fell in love with the people there. The camaraderie and community is what drove James to shift his career towards CrossFit. The experience has taken him all over the world, such as Kuwait where we he worked to help a local gym business expand into a thriving brand of multiple facilities.
James is originally from New York City. He moved to Austin to help foster the active lifestyle he loves to live. James wanted to be outside more and enjoys the amazing vibes that Austin has to offer. His positive attitude and work ethic permeate everything he does. His vision is to create, grow and lead a diverse, healthy and active community.

What do you love about living a fit lifestyle?
The process. I love the work. I grew up in a very unhealthy environment and there is a lot of illness in my family history. I want to be the best version of myself so that I can lead a good example for my daughter and my family.
Favorite movement and/or workout?
Lifting weights is something that I do on a daily basis. I typically fall towards the Strongman movements as it just offers such a great mirror towards life’s every day’s Struggles.
Favorite meal, snack or favorite thing to eat?
Hmmm I’m a weird eater. I can eat the same thing everyday and not think twice. If your asking what’s my go to “snack” Anything Chocolate.
Favorite thing to do when you’re not coaching/working?
I love my reflection time. A delicious cup of coffee and my journal or a good book makes me a happy man. Anything outdoors is my second.

You may lose your way from time to time. However if you keep the faith in yourself, You’ll always manage to find your way back.
