This is a great program to tone and tighten all the right spots. After 3 weeks people started commenting that they could see a difference. After 4 weeks, I could really tell a difference - - can't wait for the next session!

RC.... don't sweat it ;) It *will* get better!

A year ago, when I came in, I couldn't even make it through the first elements class! Now, I make it through workouts, sometimes towards the top, sometimes towards the bottom, depending on the workout. I'm constantly improving. You will too! Keep at it, put in your best effort at every workout, and watch what you feed "the machine", and you'll be knockin' 'em dead in no time!

RC - after reading your comment, I thought about my CrossFit experience. When I first started I was doing little to no weight and came in last every single workout. Then I started to improve with that weight, and just as I began coming in around the same time as the others in my class, we upped my intensity and load...so it was back to being last again! Right now I'm somewhere in the middle as far as when I finish, but I feel heavier loads and an increase of intensity coming on soon..... ;)

How Badly Out of Shape Am I?

By: RC (Guest IP 64.149.174.137) on 12-08-2008 12:59

The first athlete in our class finished in just over 14 minutes. I came in dead last (again) at 28:35. The second to last person finished a minute and a half in front of me.

Embarrassing. I knew I was out of shape…I just didn’t realize how badly out of shape I really was. The fact that I’m at least 10-15 years older than anybody else in my class is no excuse either.

As embarrassing as it is to be DFL each day, I’m also using that as my motivation to keep going to get stronger, faster, and to build much more stamina.
