Honestly, it was a lot of fun. Working closely with a group and seeing the progress/gains was rewarding. I enjoyed the challenge. Jeremy and Mike really kept the energy up and were fun/motivating. Thanks to you both!

On March 8th at Breakaway Speed in Houston, TX participants stepped up to a platform one at a time to make the best of three attempts of squat, shoulder press, and deadlift. The crowd watched in awe as participants up'ed their weight and brought each other to new physical feats.

The spectators's muffled amazement broke into cheers and yells of excitement as the men and women of The Fittest Games Challenge - CrossFit Total pushed themselves through adversity.

Coach Mark Rippetoe of Witchita Falls was at the second challenge to help announce the Total. He kept socre, announced the contestants, and kept the atmosphere fun by joking with all of the competitors and judges CrossFit A&M, CrossFit Rockwall, and Breakaway Speed helped with the challenge and cheered on their athletes. "The CrossFit Total event in Houston was a great experience.  "Coach Rip" is awesome!  He almost makes me
want to move to Wichita Falls... almost, but not quite! I check crossfit.com on a daily basis and its cool to get to meet one of the coaches you see regularly in the online videos.  CrossFit Central's motto is "Building a Fiteric_fitt_games.jpg Community" and this event was a great example of that. There is definitely some serious competition going on between the athletes at the Games, but everyone has a great attitude and is very supportive. Despite missing my max squat attempt I still set a new PR for my press and deadlift resulting in a new PR CFT."

"I am very impressed by many of the competitors. If you look at the results of the guys that won their weight divisions they are pressing more than 80% of their bodyweight and deadlifting more than double! I've been active in competitive sports most of my life and Cro
ssFit is another way I can continue to feed that need for competition." Eric Copeland of Austin, TX
