The Gymnast has no equal in terms of the pound for pound ratio of their strength and what they are able to achieve. For the first time ever CrossFit Central is introducing a gymnastics workshop open to the public. Gymnastics is for people who are new to fitness training and for those who are experienced. It encompasses and applies to all sports and fitness in general.

Build It and They Will Come

A Journey Through The History of CrossFit Central

Two years ago Jeremy Thiel posted on his blog, Build it and They Will Come, which featured one of the 1st CrossFit Central UTB: Free Community Workouts. Five people came to the workout. Jeremy and Carey were excited and knew they had the ability to train people and help them reach their fitness goals. But for this brother and sister team, there was a largerer vision than getting men and women in shape in time for bikini season. These two set out to build a community of people through fitness. Jeremy and Carey were determined to raise people up and have them realize the potential within.

 

Two years from that first UTB with 5 people Jeremy and Carey unpacked the gym equipment at the same UTB location to train at the same free workout on a Saturday morning. The only difference between this day and 2 years ago were the 90+ people that showed up.

This is a Revolution

To say Crossfit is revolutionary is an understatement. CrossFit is altering the way people view their bodies, the way they eat, and the way they gauge what it means to be intense, to be fit, and to be well. Some say that Crossfit has a hand in raising up generations of people that are healthier than ever before.

The 2nd Annual CrossFit Games, or this generation's zeitgeist, is quite literally a sign of the times. It is a glimpse into the future of fitness and what is yet to come.
