I'm faster, stronger and almost two pant sizes smaller! Besides my husband really taking notice (he didn't think my legs could be any better than they already were), the best thing is that I don't have to work nearly as hard at the running as I used to. I would highly recommend Jeremy's CrossFit class....if you're lucky enough to get in...because CrossFit is the best kept secret in town!

No Boundaries

By: Randal Setzler

Randal Setzler sheds light on Parkour and how it relates to CrossFit training and everyday life.

"When in a Parkour run you may find yourself quickly approaching a 6ft. wall, a gap to jump, or a series of railings to get over, around, or under. Making Quick decisions and confidence become crucial. Mastery of Parkour technique prepares the practitioner to handle any and every situation that stands before them in any given environment." Randal Setzler, Parkour practioner and CrossFit Central coach.

CrossFit: An Intramural Sport

One mile run. 100 kipping pull-ups. 200 push-ups. 300 squats. One mile run. No sweat. Or so we thought. Students from the University of Texas met their fitness match on Saturday, March 29 with CrossFit Central owner and CoFounder, Jeremy Thiel ordering-up the “Murphy” workout for the first official CrossFit Club meeting on campus. Despite the over-cast weather, a handful of warrior ROTC members, book-worms needing a study break, and one eager little lady (yours truly—the club co-founder and CrossFit Central intern) gathered at Clark Field to learn the CrossFit basics and break a good sweat. And sweat we did. Thirty-minutes later, our group was huffing, puffing, panting and loving it all the same! “This is just so much fun!” club co-founder and Navy ROTC representative, Andy Lewis said lying on the ground to recover from the intensity. We four core UT students (Andy Lewis, James Dooley, Drew Anderson and myself) are determined to spread this method of fitness like wildfire, and share this with our fellow Longhorns.
