I noticed an improvement with my running within 6 weeks. I believe this is due to the cross training I receive at CrossFit Boot Camp. With the amount of core training Boot Camp offers, I have become a stronger runner. Specifically, I ran my fastest Turkey Trot this past November at a 7 minute mile pace (last year I completed the same race at an 8 minute mile pace). Recently, I completed the 3M Half Marathon in 1:38 (7:30 pace) which I have not done in 9 nine years.

CrossFit Central Celebration

Over 150 people came out to the Grand Opening last Saturday! There is nothing like celebrating with good food, good friends, giveaways, and a Fight Gone Bad demonstration!

Spartans Across the World

The Spartans are entering the final weeks of training! Some joined the Spartan Program this week and some began 12 weeks ago - all of them are seeing results! This challenge has reached many people in the Austin community as well as several states in the US, other countries, and military personnel currently overseas. There are CrossFit Central Spartans completing the same workouts and pushing themselves through this challenge in San Antonio, El Paso, Ft. Worth, California, New Jersey, Colorado, Australia, and Afghanistan! There is still time to join - Find Out More

Congratulations Randal Setzler on his New Certification!

Coach Randal Setzler visited GSX Athletics in Ft. Worth last weekend to obtain his gymnastics certification. Among the many things they covered - proper technique, form, and use of gymnastics in CrossFit training. Paralettes, rings, muscle ups, and hand stands were all on the long list of functional movements at the gymnastics certification. Randal will be holding a set of gymnastics workshops at CrossFit Central in the fall so you too can learn how to improve and why gymnastics is crucial to your CrossFit Training!
