I noticed an improvement with my running within 6 weeks. I believe this is due to the cross training I receive at CrossFit Boot Camp. With the amount of core training Boot Camp offers, I have become a stronger runner. Specifically, I ran my fastest Turkey Trot this past November at a 7 minute mile pace (last year I completed the same race at an 8 minute mile pace). Recently, I completed the 3M Half Marathon in 1:38 (7:30 pace) which I have not done in 9 nine years.

The .com Class

Eric, who attends the 1 pm .com class on Mon/Tu/Th/Fri, set a back squat PR for the CrossFit Total this week. Keep up the hard work, Eric! This class takes on workouts straight from the founder of CrossFit, Coach Greg Glassman. It's a great way to follow the prescribed workouts from CrossFit.com and get in the best shape of your life!

Does CrossFit Endurance Work?

 

Arun, who attends CrossFit Central Coed classes, CrossFit Endurance workouts, and recently switched to the Paleo diet, shaved 6 minutes off of his 10k time- almost one minute per mile! "People have laughed at my diet,and workouts - I have the pleasure of letting my time speak for me!" CrossFit Endurance provides a sport-specific endurance training for those that want to improve their efficiency and hit the start line free of injury, strong, and ready to race. The weekly track workouts are coached by experienced endurance athletes who train in the CrossFit and CrossFit Endurance methods during their race seasons.

Classes Still On!

All CrossFit Central classes tonight are still ON! Snow or shine we still CrossFit. This includes CrossFit Central Indoor, CrossFit @ RunTex, and Boot camps!

 
Hardworking CrossFit Women

Brooke attends the M/W/F 9:15 CrossFit Women's Only Class at RunTex with Coach Jessica Sharratt and is an I Am CrossFit EPOC participant. She has seen amazing results including losing 5 lbs in less than 7 weeks after switching to the Paleo diet, "I was able to master the handstand push up, which I haven't been able to do since high school!" Congratulations Brooke- keep up the hard work! The CrossFit Women's program takes on the same hard workouts as the Coed class, but is for women only. Be prepared to be challenged, have fun, and reach your goals all while being encouraged by a committed group of women!
