I appreciated the support of the other people in the group who were always very encouraging and the atmosphere of the class was positive and fun. Melissa Burnett

It's Time for Spring Cleaning!
One of the great things about the CrossFit Central community is that everyone that trains here pushes themselves as hard as they can possibly go. That being said, CrossFit can be tough on the body and, often enough, a one week break is needed. We call it Spring Cleaning! We've organized a week of free instruction by Austin's best practitioners that focus on: restoration, rejuvenation, elongation of the muscles, core strengthening, nutrition, and Trigger Point Therapy. These sessons will help you to refocus your nutritional needs while preparing your body to make the most of your training at CrossFit Central.

Saturday's Free Workouts
Dozens showed up for the free workouts at CrossFit Central, RunTex, and the UTB Relentless locations. Coaches Lisa Thiel, Jessica Sharratt, Travis Holley, and Megan Parsons all had enthusiastic crowds who broke through their personal limitations, many for the first time. Thank you to all who showed up! Coach Lisa Thiel had 15 new people at the free workout held at RunTex!
Are you interested in signing up for the next free workout? Registration for each location will be up soon! For pictures of the RunTex workout click here. The indoor workout pics at CrossFit Central can be found here.
Central Hosts Friday Night Hooverball and Barbecue
Last night's barbecue was a wonderful time for the CrossFit Central family. The turn out was great and the weather ended up being perfect for a tasty cookout and some intense Hooverball play. The 2nd Annual Tournament was a blast for all ages! The raffle was a great success for the Polymath Kids and Youth in Motion foundations that we are funding. Thank you to all who have and will contribute to this important cause. These charitable organizations are an important addition to the mission of CrossFit Central and they will help us in our efforts to continue building a fit community.
Chris Holtkamp, a CrossFit Central client, had this to say about last night's family fun (Twitter). For great photos of last night's fun click here.
Last night's raffle raised $8,500 of the $10,000 needed to help found the Polymath Kids and Youth in Motion foundations!
